Squamous epithelium

and allow movement of materials through it.
Cuboidal epithelium

They have cube-like shape consisting up of
single layer.

These cells are found in small glands, and
kidney tubes.

They allow secretions.
Ciliated columnar epithelium
·
They are elongated cells having cilia.
·
They are found in trachea, bronchi and propels
mucous.
Columnar epithelium
·
They are elongated cells.
·
They have rule in digestion and are found in
gall bladder and alimentary canal.
·
It makes secretions.
Stratified squamous
epithelium
·
It has many layers of flat cells.
·
Its function is to protect the inner parts.
·
It is present in mouth and also line esophagus.
