Muscle Tissue
The tissue that helps in movement of body by its contraction
and relaxation is called muscle tissue. It is the most abundant tissue in
animals.
Muscle Fiber
Muscle tissue has
large number of long cells in the form of bundle called muscle fiber.

There are three types of muscle tissues in animal’s
body.
Skeletal Muscles

They also called striated muscles.

They are attached to bones.
·
Their cells are striped and many nuclei are
present in it.
·
Their function is to provide movement to bones.
Smooth Muscles
·
They are present in blood vessels, urinary
bladder, and in the walls of alimentary canal.
·
They are called non striated cells.
·
Each cell contain single nucleus.
·
There function is to provide movement to
substances.
Cardiac Muscles
·
The muscles that is present in the walls of
heart.
· They produce heart beat.
Skeletal muscles are voluntary in action.
Cardiac and smooth muscles are not under our control.
·
Striated cells are present and each cell
contains a single nucleus.
