Rectum
It is the hollow muscular tube present after the colon. In rectum, faeces are temporarily stored which ends in anus. Anus is opened for defecation when rectum is filled up with faeces under normal condition as a result of reflex. In adults, this reflex is under our control but in infants it is involuntary. As infant grows and becoming big this reflex automatically becomes in our control.
